I have posted before small video clips from lds.org called "Mormon Messages" and this morning I had the opportunity to watch one of these clips that just brought tears to my eyes. It is titled "Testimony of the Book of Mormon" and it's taken from a talk by Jeffrey R. Holland. He recalls the final days of Joseph Smith and truthfulness of the Book of Mormon...
I bear my own personal testimony of the love I have for the Book of Mormon. Nothing has brought me more peace and more joy in times of trails and tribulations. Oh how grateful I am for the beautiful words utter in the pages of this book. How thankful I am to be blessed to live in a time when the fullness of the gospel is upon the earth for me to partake of. I can't imagine where I would be or who I would be without this wonderful, precious book guiding me and bringing me closer to the Savior.

Bring on the Warm Weather!
Today was officially the first day I rode my bike to work this year and I've missed it so much! It's been warm enough for me to ride for maybe a week or two but it's also been raining a lot (cold, not fun rain!) which has made me kind of nervous. This morning however Matt and I woke up early and went on a walk and it was just so nice out that I decided to ride my bike to work and it was wonderful! Bring on the warm weather cause I am more then ready!

Chelsie's B-day!
Yesterday Matt and I celebrated my sister's birthday (which is actually today) with the whole gang at Winger's in Provo! We enjoyed yummy food, good company, and had a ball!

Happy Birthday Chelsie! Not only are you my favorite sister ;) but you are an amazing person and (as cheesy as it sounds) I feel so lucky to be able to call you my sister! You are incredibly sensitive to others feelings, you make everyone feel welcome & loved, and you can make me laugh like no one else! Whether we're ordering Fat Jack's breadsticks or snacking on some yummy sugar cookies (man we eat a lot together, lol!) it's always good times! Here's to hoping you have an amazing birthday, YOU DESERVE IT!

Wish We Were (Still) There!
Matt and I had the amazing opportunity to spend almost a week in California (April 2nd-6th) and we had a ball!! Not only did we get to spend Easter with Matt's family (a first for us) but we also go to go sledding, zip lining, and go to Disneyland. The best part of the whole trip though was seeing family members we haven't seen in months...we miss you guys already!
We flew out Friday morning (April 2nd) and one of the first things we did was go sledding with the family in Matt's home town of Bear Bear Lake. We had mom, Matt's brother Thom, and wife Sarah, their kids Luke and Leona as well as Matt's brother Tim join in the sledding fun. Towards the end of the night we decided to have everyone link up tubs and I wish we had some pictures because it was a riot!! Poor Tim lost his tub half way down the mountain but since we were all holding on to each other he got a pretty icy bottom! So much fun!
(WARNING: Picture overload!)

Here is a video Mommy D. took (with sound!!)
The next day mom and dad took us zip lining and it was something none of us had ever done before. It wasn't as scary as I thought and I had a blast!! We strapped in our harness, put on some thick gloves and off we went. We did a total of 5 "runs" in all, all over the mountains up in Big Bear. It was over before we knew it and I can't wait to do it again!

Here are some video's of us zip lining...
Daddy D. first...
And now a couple of Matt...
And finally me...
That same day Luke and Leona were able to color Easter eggs and they were in heaven! I think it was the anticipation of finding the eggs that made it so much fun. We had an Easter egg hunt that day for them and they were so stinkin cute! They found all the eggs and had so much candy it was pretty fun.

On Sunday we had a wonderful Easter lunch at Thom and Sarah's house before we headed down the mountain to spend the night in Anaheim. We had so much fun spending so much time with our niece and nephew and it was hard saying goodbye. I can say hands down we have the cutest niece and nephew in the world!! LOL!
On Monday we spent the day in Disneyland and though it rained all morning long (and not just a little drizzle, it was raining cats and dogs!!) by the afternoon the sun came out and it was perfect! We were able to go on all of our favorite rides...Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain (which we did when it was raining...not a good idea), Space Mountain, Star Tours, Captain EO, and Finding Nemo. We also spent a couple of hours in Disney's California Adventure which has become a favorite!

The highlight of the vacation though was (as cheesy as it sounds) spending time with my amazing hubby and our family! We miss our family so much and wish we could be closer to them. It's pretty hard for me to imagine only seeing my mom and dad and siblings a couple of times a year. I am just so grateful mom and dad d. were able to fly us out and give us the opportunity to spend so much time with them! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!
