Thanksgiving!

We had an AMAZING Thanksgiving this year! Last year we went to California to spend the holiday with Matt's family so this year we stayed in Utah and though I love spending time with my Degi family it's always nice when we don't have to travel too far.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's house (where we are currently staying, talk about no traveling!) and we had my sister, her hubby Wes, my brother Ryan, Matt's sister Danielle and Matt's brother Aaron, as well as Matt, Abby, my mom and myself over for dinner. We had amazing food and just a really good time. I always enjoy getting the house cleaned and setting the table and of course cooking food galore!

One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is all the yummy pies and this year was no exception! They were all home-made and included dutch apple and cheesecake (which Matt's sister Danielle made), pumpkin, pecan, and blueberry (which I made), and mint-chocolate (which Matt made). We almost had one pie per person, lol!!

My little yodeler! It's pretty funny because Abby has this computer game she loves called Starfall and basically it has all the letters and she clicks on them to watch little cartoons. For "Y" it has a yodeler and the other day I heard Abby yodeling like this and it cracked me up! This video is not the best attempt at capturing her yodeling, I will try again when she isn't so tired cause it's the cutest thing ever!

My Stupidity!

So this past Saturday (November 10th) I think I did my most stupidest thing EVER! I was being such a good mom and quilting a baby blanket for Liam (which I might add is my first ever sewing project)...

...when I was trying so hard to sew good straight lines and the next thing I know the needle went into my left index finger and broke off! It hurt and all but mostly I was just in shock, WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!? My mom was sitting near me helping me when I look at her and say, "Mom I totally just sewed my finger!" she looks at me and says, "No you didn't" and then proceeds to pull the thread (which is still attached to my finger) and I scream! She then starts laughing and I am freaking out! Well mostly I was just super embarrassed. I had her try to pull it out but it hurt too bad. She told me I better go to the hospital in case it's infected. Well after waiting for hours to be seen they finally pull me back and remove the needle...

...it was such a small part of the needle stuck in my finger but I was so glad to have it out! I teased my mom and told her this is why my generation shouldn't sew! The doctor and nurses gave me a hard time but I'll admit it I deserved it!

Yesterday my mom finished Liam's quilt and now we have a fun story to tell him when he is older.

Snow Day!

With out blizzard this past weekend (hit us on Friday until Monday, we got over 8 inches) we decided on Saturday to take Abby to play in the snow. It was the first time she played in the snow (last year she was too little and we barely got any snow at all) and she absolutely LOVED it! At first she was a little scared but soon she got up her nerve and had a blast! I am so glad I was able to play with her and have such a fun Saturday with my girl.

Abby had so much fun with her little snow hill, lol! She kept wanting to do it again and again and again!

And lastly what snowy day would be complete without homemade cinnamon rolls? YUM!

Weeks 21, 22, & 23

Baby Liam is just growing and growing...and thus I am too! I feel like I am closer to 30 weeks but nope, just 23. It's been really fun going through pregnancy this time with the knowledge I have from the first. Some things seem different but mostly it seems the same. I have been feeling Liam a lot more the last couple of weeks to the point where I almost have his cycle figured out. It's also really cute because I think Abby realizes something is different. Right now she is IN LOVE with babies, it's the cutest thing ever! She has a barbie doll that has become her baby and she loves her baby so much! She feeds her baby a "ba-ba" takes her on walks, changes her diaper, puts her to nap and just holds her all the time. I asked her the other day what baby's name was and she said "baby Liam", it was too cute!
