A day at the park...

On Saturday (April 28th) Matt and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful and warm weather and take Abby to Payson Park. We had so much fun watching her play on the swings and go down the slides. It's hard to believe that this time last year she wasn't even sitting on her own. Abby is such a smart girl and we can't even believe how much we adore her!

Happy Birthday Sis!

My cute and favorite sister Chelsie celebrated her birthday on April 14th and we made sure to live it up that day! First thing we did was Abby, Matt, and myself gave Chelsie a gift (some $ haha, the best gift of all) and also this cute photo frame with a recording of Abby saying "Chels-ie" for the first time, it was so cute!! Chelsie has been trying to get Abby to say her name since she was practically born, lol, without any luck. The day I got this frame I figured I would just have Abby laugh on the recording and call it good. I was in the midst of getting the recording ready when I said "Chelsie" and Abby said it too. I suddenly started having her say it again and again as I tried recording it and it worked! What a fun gift for my sister!

Next up we went out to eat at a local Mexican Restaurant in Payson. We enjoyed the good company and good food!

Later that night we went over to Chelsie's house to have ice cream and cupcakes. She made these really delicious coconut cupcakes that were to die for! Seriously one of the best cupcakes I have had!!!

It was so much fun helping my sister celebrate her birthday. I love her so much and when I say she is my favorite sister there just ain't no lying, lol, but really she is awesome and just can't thank her enough for all she has done for me, love ya sis!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jim!

Today is my grandpa Jim's birthday, he would have been 81 years old. He passed away over four years ago which seems completely insane to me. Some days it feels like just yesterday I was living in his basement, going to lunch with him, and talking to him about my goals. Every day I miss this man. Every day I wish he was here with me. Both he and my grandma have left a huge hole in my heart when they passed away that I don't think will ever be filled.

If there is one thing I am grateful for it's that I know one day we will be together again. And when that day comes and I return to my maker I will wrap my arms around my grandma and grandpa and there wont even be words to express the happiness I will feel!

If there was one thing I could change it was that I wish my grandparents could have met Abby. I know my grandma would rock her to sleep and sing "Love One Another" or "I am a Child of God". She would bend over backwards to make sure Abby is happy and healthy and never sad. She would read her stories and call her her "little miss muffet" like she did with me.

Abby would have my grandpa wrapped around her little finger. He would read to her and teach her important life lessons. He would tell her how important education is and tell her to never settle for anything but the best, because that is what she deserves. He would make her smile and tell her he loved her every day.

Though they may not have meet here on this world I know they were very close in heaven. I can imagine my grandparents preparing Abby to come down here, teaching her all about her silly mommy and telling her how much they love her.

I love you so much grandma and grandpa. I am thankful you are both together again and I know you are looking down on me and keeping me safe. "Until we meet again"!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter this year! It's been so much fun celebrating holidays with Abby, especially now that she is a little more aware of what is going on. We woke up bright and early on Sunday to see what the Easter Bunny left us, we were all definitely spoiled!

We got dressed up in our new Easter outfits for church and I have to say I think Abby looked the cutest! I can't believe how big my baby girl is getting, she is such a cutie!

Later that day we had my family gather at my mom's house for Easter dinner. We had delicious food and spent the rest of the time just catching up and having fun!

After dinner we decided to "hide" Abby's Easter eggs and let her find them. Of course we didn't really hide the eggs but instead spread them throughout the garden and let Abby pick them up and put them in her basket, she had a ball! It was really funny because I had filled the eggs with candy and as soon as she found out she was opening everyone of them, unfortunately she was opening them upside and got candy everywhere, lol!

My family, I love these guys!

15 Months Old!

Yup my "baby" is 15 months, what's up with that?! I can't believe how big she is! At her last check-up her height is 31.5" (82nd percentile) and her weight is 24lbs, 3oz (87th percentile). She is growing like a weed, just much, much cuter! She is talking non-stop, one of her favorite activities is to grab Matt's phone and talk non-stop, lol. She is climbing on everything (she can even get on top of the kitchen table) and is all over the place. She knows her eyes, nose, mouth, hair, ears, toes and fingers. She can also make animal sounds like a monkey, puppy, kitty and fish. She is such a cute girl and makes us the happiest parents in the world!
