A couple family photos of my AMAZING DeGriselles family! These were taken back in November 2011 and since then we've welcomed Addie Thelin, Tim and Allison's baby girl. 

Abby's First Haircut!

Yup it's true, my little baby girl got her first hair cut yesterday, it was a bitter-sweet day. We've been trying to grow her hair out since she was born but it was super uneven in the back and we decided it was time for a trim. I was just going to even out the back but instead decided to do an A-line...well I am no hairdresser so it may not be as cute as I would like but I think it's pretty darn good! I also trimmed her bangs which I later regret but the thing about hair is it always grows out! I love the little bob and I think it makes Abby look so grown up!

Father's Day!

We had an amazing Father's Day yesterday! It's not too hard when you get to celebrate one of the greatest people in your life. I really can't imagine where I would be or what I would be doing if I hadn't met Matt. I know one thing for sure is I wouldn't be married to my best friend and I wouldn't be blessed with being the mother of the greatest little girl ever. And when it comes to being a father Matt is by far the greatest one I know. He is patient, he is kind, he is a teacher and helper, he is everything a little girl needs in a dad and we both love him so much!

We started off the morning by having Matt open up the present me and Abby got him. I think Abby was more excited then me for him to open it, lol. I was going to wrap it up it cute paper and go all out but with Abby being sick the last couple of days (fever and blisters, poor baby) I was too tired so thus the beautiful brown wrapping paper.

This is a new favorite picture of mine, my two loves!

I drew this picture of Matt holding Abby (the photograph is from Matt's birthday last year, Abby was 9 months old) and have been waiting several months to give it to Matt. I thought Father's Day would be the perfect day to give it to him. He was super surprised, it was great! Abby likes it too, lol!

The day itself was pretty chill. With Abby having a fever the last couple of days we decided she better not go to church and get other kids sick so instead Matt went to church alone but came home to blueberry muffins (his favorite) and a nice clean house! Later that day we had a BBQ with my sister and mom and had a blast!

Portraits and Cookies!

Odd combination eh? Yeah I would have to agree...although who doesn't enjoy delicious home-made cookies while admiring a decent work of art? LOL. Well as some of you may know I do both! I've been baking cookies since before I could remember (I think my mom taught me when I was real young so I could stop asking her to make them, hehe) and within the last several years decided to venture out and bake cookies for my family and friends. Along with whipping up some amazing cookies I am also doing portraits. I have been drawing and sketching for probably longer then I have been baking (which is pretty impressive) and for the last year or so I have been having a lot of fun doing portraits. Here are just a few I have done...

Abby's New "Water-Park"!

We bought this for Abby last week and she loves it! It's been so hot these last couple of days we've been using it almost every day. I think she is in heaven!

May Birthday Dinners!

On the last day of May (talk about cutting it close) we got together as a family and had some GoodWood BBQ to celebrate the three May birthdays we have this month...my mom's on May 10th, mine on May 13th, and Wes's on May 24th.
