She's Getting So Big!

I can't believe how big my little girl is getting! I took the above pictures a little over 2 months apart and the difference is pretty crazy to me. She is growing like a weed!

St. Patty's Day!

Matt and I don't usually do anything much for St. Patty's Day except wear green but decided to have a little fun this year and make an all green meal.

We made green mashed potatoes, green asparagus, green rolls, green mini-cheesecake desserts, and well not green meat cause who wants to eat green meat?!

Abby's Baby Blessing!

This past weekend Matt and I had the incredible opportunity to not only spend time with family (who we don't get to see has often as we would like) but also to celebrate Abby's baby blessing which was on March 13th.

We kicked off the baby blessing weekend with the arrival of Matt's family! His sister Danielle, who is going to school in Michigan, flew out on Wednesday (the 9th). We meet up that night with Danielle and Matt's brother Aaron at the Mayan in Sandy for dinner. It was fun watching Aunt Danielle interact with her new little niece especially since it was the first time they had met.

On Friday Matt's parents and grandparents arrive and we meet up with them that night at their hotel.

It has been 5 years since we've seen Matt's grandparents (his mother's parents) and it was so fun to see them again!

Mom and Dad D. sure missed little Abby girl! The last time they saw her she was just a couple of days old and they said she changed a lot!!

It was pretty neat watching grandma and grandpa H. with their little great-granddaughter.

The next day the rest of the family (minus Matt's sister Alli and her hubby Tim who weren't able to make it) came out and we spent the day catching up and eating yummy food! You can't go wrong there!

On Sunday March 13th Matt blessed our baby girl Abby Ruth DeGriselles and he did an amazing job! We had so many family and friends come out, we are truly blessed! After the blessing we had a luncheon at the clubhouse at my sisters condo.

We had such an awesome time with our families and were sad to see Matt's family leave so soon. We can't wait to see them again and can't wait to see how fast Abby will have grown by then!

2 Months Old!

Today our little baby girl is 2 months old, it's crazy how fast the time is flying! We went to her 2-month check up and she weighs 11lbs 6oz which puts her in the 63rd percentile (she weighed 7lbs 12oz at birth) and is 23" which puts her in the 71st percentile (she was 20.5" at birth). Our baby girl is just growing and growing!

She is smiling all the time now and even giggles a little bit. She is holding her head up much better now and is starting to learn how to roll over (though hasn't completely rolled over yet). She is such a cutie and we couldn't love her more!

Moab Madness 2011!

Every year our family has their annual "Moab Madness" family reunion and this year we were so excited to take Abby! We know she is still too young to really do much but we still had a blast! it was really neat being able to show her off to all our family, they had a lot of fun playing with her and so did we.

We started off the trip (on Friday March 4th) by enjoying dinner at the Moab Brewery a family tradition for us. The food was great but the company was better!

Saturday (March 5th) we decided to meet in the hotel lobby to decide what to do for the day. We ended up agreeing on going on a walk (since taking a stroller on a hike is less effective). We drove out to a park near by and Abby went on her first walk in a stroller, too fun!

On Sunday we had breakfast at my aunts house and then quickly hit the road. Abby was such a good girl when we were driving until we had about 15 more minutes to go and then she got really fussy. We had such a fun time down in Moab!!!
