All Grown Up...tear!

Well it's official...I am old! My youngest brother Austin graduated high school on Tuesday May 25th and there's nothing like the graduation of your youngest sibling to make you say "where has the time gone?"! It's hard to believe the cute little guy my parents brought home from the hospital just under 18 years ago is already a high school graduate. I couldn't be prouder of my little bro...CONGRATULATIONS Austin!!!

You say it's your birthday...

I celebrated the big 2-5 this year (ya half-way to 50...time to freak out!) and Matt spoiled me like crazy! He definitely we above and beyond his usual (which is pretty stinkin good in itself) and I was pretty flabbergasted!

I woke up with a couple of gifts on my bed which surprised me since I knew Matt was taking me shopping for my birthday present. He told me that he had to wrap something up so he got me a couple of movies, a cd, and some art supplies. We spent the morning relaxing, sleeping in and taking it easy. We had both asked for the day off so we could spend it together which I think was the best birthday present I could ask for!

We headed to mall pretty early to start my shopping extravaganza! All in all I got a couple of t-shirts, some new work out pants, a couple of large sleeved shirts, and a new jacket...what more could I ask for?! After shopping (which Matt noted took incredibly not as much time as he thought...I just knew what I wanted!) we saw the movie Iron Man 2. It was pretty stinkin good, I would even say better then the first!

After the movie we enjoyed dinner at one of my all-time favorite restaurant "La Dolce Vita" in Provo. Matt and I both enjoyed some of the most amazing pasta (with the best Alfredo sauce I have ever tasted) and topped it off with some very yummy cheesecake!

To finish the night off we went to the Hale Center Theater in Orem and watched "To Kill a Mocking Bird" which is one of my favorite novels. The play was amazing and the actors did an incredibly job! I couldn't believe how good the kid actors were. The girl who played Scout was actually the granddaughter to one of the Osmond kids and she did such a good job! If you are in the area I definitely recommend checking it out!

I can easily admit I had one of the best birthday's ever! I know I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband as Matt. I love you so much baby and thank you for helping me have one of the best birthdays I can remember!

A little time with the family!

Today (the 11th)I had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday with the fam! We went to an old family favorite, Brick Oven in Provo, and enjoyed some amazing food, conversation, and the always fun singing-to-the-birthday-girl-while-she-stood-on-a-chair-in-front-of-everyone...good times!

My family is truly amazing! I can't imagine my life without them and our silly but always fun sense of humor! Thank you for an amazing birthday dinner!

Ya they made me stand on a chair while everyone sang to me, good times!

Way to go Aaron!!

What a crazy month May has turned out to be. First Matt and I had the amazing opportunity to have some of his family out for his brother Aaron’s graduation. In total we had Mom and Dad D., Matt’s brother Tim, and Matt’s brother Thom and wife Sarah (with two adorable kids Luke and Leona) drive/fly out our way for the big day. It was really fun too cause Thom and Sarah and kids stayed at our place which was a blast!

We celebrated Aaron’s graduation Thursday May 6th, CONGRATS Aaron!!! Aaron graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. He is actually down in Moab right now doing an internship with a river rafting/rock climbing company which definitely seems right down his ally. The day after the graduation Matt and I took some time off of work and spent the entire day with the family. We went rock climbing, visited the Clark Planetarium, enjoyed some very delicious Greek food in Salt Lake City, and finished the day off with a visit at Sub Zero one of our favorite ice cream joints.

It was so nice seeing the family again especially since we don’t have the opportunity to visit with them every day. We love you guys and can’t wait to see you again!!

Getting ready for the show to start!
