to lose ourselves...

So I decided to change the website that I was posting my artwork from a tumblr account to a blogspot, check out my new website here: http://toloseourselves.blogspot.com/, thanks!

Playing at Provo Beach Resort

After checking 0ut this place with my siblings last week I decided to take Matt and Abby to a local Family Fun Center called...Provo Beach Resort. It's a pretty awesome little place. It's located in the Riverwoods in Provo and have a fun little arcade area, a pine wood derby course, a toddler play area as well as a play area for older kids, a rope course, a bowling alley, a miniature croquette course, a golf simulator, and an indoor surfing area. We decided to see how Abby would love the toddler play area and she had a blast! She still needed a lot of help from mommy and daddy to do most of it but man she is one brave little kiddo! When we first got there we were all alone but soon more kids came and she is such a little social butterfly. We had a blast!

Sliding down the slide with mommy. We went down together a couple of times and then Abby went by herself (which yes did worry me a little bit) but she did great!

Abby is a such a little independent girl! She wanted to get down from here all by herself and only needed a little help from mom and dad.

Abby loved watching the kids 'surf', she was totally mesmerized.

Abby totally LOVES ice cream! She wouldn't let go of the cone once she got it, lol!

It was so much fun to have this day to spend with Matt and Abby just relaxing and having fun. I know that Abby is going to grow up right in front of my eyes (she already is!!!) so it's good to create these fun memories.

Speaking of growing up here are some fun little things that my one-year-old is up to:

  • Abby has eight teeth now and two more (molars!) are popping out on top.
  • Abby is talking all the time now! She says, "What's that?" "Who's that?", "mama", "dada", "ga-ma", "cat-ty", "vroom", "more", "mine", and I am sure many other's that I don't even know.
  • Abby can get into the tub all by herself now. She loves taking a bath so much that several times she will go up to the bathroom and plop herself in the tub to let us know it's time for another bath!
I still find it hard to believe Abby is already one. The past year and gone by so fast it's hard to believe! I love my baby girl so much and I am so glad she is apart of our lives!

Got the bug...the art bug, lol.

So I have always loved drawing and painting and just dabbling in art in general however I haven't done much for a couple of years. Just recently I decided to pick up my pencil again and I feel like all the creative juices from the past 5 years are exploding all over my paper (not as messy as it sounds). I have created a tumblr website to display some of my work, check it out here.
