Our Christmas Newsletter 2012!

(I am mailing this out to close family and friends but for those of you that would like a little sneak-peek, here ya go...)

Matt, Britt, & Abby: Our Little Family!

With the holiday season quickly approaching I thought what a better opportunity to catch up and extend our warm wishes. This year has been a pretty exciting one for us...

Matt- graduated Alpha Beta Psi (the Honors Accounting Society) from Utah Valley University this December 2012 with his Bachelor's degree in Accounting. We just couldn't be prouder of him for completing this life-long goad. He is working as an Accountant at Amber Alert GPS and when he isn't working he is either reading, writing, or spending as much time with Abby and myself. We sure love our "daddy" and can't imagine life without him!

Brittany - is busy getting ready for the newest addition to join their family, Liam Gray DeGrsielles, who is due on March 8th. I am still working at Synergy WorldWide (7 years this December) and I love it! When I am not working full-time I am a full-time mom and though it's not always easy juggling the two I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Abby (2) - or should I say 2 going on 20 is our little tornado and believe me she lives up to the name. When she isn't going a hundred miles per hour she is probably playing her new favorite comptuer game "A" (or Starfall as it's actually called) or being completely enthralled with baies. We knew she is going to be an incredible big sister! We love our little Abby girl so much and are thankful everyday she is a part of our family!

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Gotta Boast On My Hubby...

This may be a bit long and maybe even a little boring for everyone besides me but I had to take a moment to boast on my amazing hubby and how proud I am of him...

On Wednesday Matt will officially be done with school! He will be receiving his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Utah Valley University and I couldn't be prouder of him. School has not always been the easiest road for Matt. When we first met he was going to BYU majoring in English. We quickly learned however that BYU was not the best school for him. I was going to Utah Valley State College (at the time) and told him he should check it out. He starting taking some English classes there and enjoying it. Soon though he got a promotion at work that allowed him to earn double what he was making when we first met. The promotion however meant that he would not be able to take classes, just too much work and not enough time for school. At first we thought we enjoyed the extra money more then getting an education but that quickly faded away. Matt wasn't happy and he knew that the only way to be happy was to be passionate about what he was doing. We decided for him to step down from his current position so he could go back to school. It wasn't easy. We went from a nice townhome near both our jobs to a small apartment nearly 30 minutes from our jobs but that was family-owned so we could afford the cheaper rent while Matt was back in school.  Upon returning back to school he decided that he needed to pursue a major that he was both passionate about and something that he could do for the rest of his life and provide for his family. Once he decided to look into Accounting there was no stopping him. He quickly learned that he loved the subject and it was want he was meant to do. Since that time, in 2009, he has been going to school non-stop (that is 10 consecutive semesters in a row without a break) and he has earned both his associates and bachelors degree in Accounting from the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University. He has been completely committed to school, staying up late studying every single night (which I can vouch for!), getting straight A's more then one semester in a row, tutoring at the Accounting lab, and even joining the Beta Alpha Psi Fraternity which is the Honors Accounting Society.  All of this while becoming a new daddy and spoiling me every chance he gets. I just can't say enough good things about my husband and how much I look up to him. He has gone through his fair share of challenges in his life but he is always striving to stay optimistic and make me smile. I love you so much Matthew Allen DeGriselles, way to go babe!

Temple Square

On Saturday, the first day of December, Matt, myself, Abby, and Matt's sister Danielle went up to Temple Square to see the lights. I couldn't believe how busy it was! There were seriously people EVERYONE! It was really fun though and it was actually pretty warm. We all brought coats but really could have just worn ligh jackets it was so warm. It was a lot of fun seeing all the lights and Abby was in heaven! We didn't take her last year because we knew she would be too little but this year it was just perfect!
