Phew!

So I just wanted to let ya'll know that I just got my grades for this last semester and I got A's in both my classes!! YEA! I worked really hard and I am glad it shows! Now if I can just keep this momentum up!

"No man needs a vacation so much as the person who has just had one." Amen to that!

As previously post noted Matt and I were planning on going to Moab this last Sunday through Tuesday (yesterday) but unfortunately scheduling conflicts came up and we weren't able to go (way too sad to even comment on) but we didn't let that stop us from having a good time on our 2 days off together! Also previously noted (I think?) Matt has started working graveyard (which I might say totally sucks but what can you do? If you know of a job opening anywhere with stable hours...that do not include graveyard...let us know!) and it's been really tough on us since we rarely get to see each other anymore so we took Monday and Tuesday of this week and just got away from everything and had a blast!
We started our vacation out by heading up to Salt Lake City on Monday and went to our all-time-favorite fast food restaurant (which shouldn't even be in the fast food category cause it's actually good) Rubio's! Rubio's is sorta like a Taco Time or Taco Bell but a million times better! I think there are only 2 in Utah (that we know of) both are in Salt Lake County so we don't get the opportunity to eat there as much as we would like. After some AMAZING fish tacos (if you haven't had any yet get on it!) we headed over to our Hotel for the night the Red Lion in downtown SLC, it's a really nice hotel a little expensive but in the ideal location for our activities that day and the next. We then went over to the Gateway (which is like a really nice strip mall with a movie theatre, a planetarium, a discovery center for kids, and just a lot of really cool shops and a HUGE sports store with indoor rock climbing) we walked around, did a little browsing at Barnes and Noble, and then went to the planetarium to watch the movie "The Human Body" on the IMAX screen (it was very very cool! it was informative yet entertaining, what else can you ask for?!). After our activities at Gateway we went back to the hotel to just chill, Matt was tired from his graveyard schedule and hadn't adjusted back to the day being the time when you're suppose to be awake so he took a little nap while I watched some tv, later we grabbed a bite to eat (we went to the hotels restaurant a little cafe and it was not very good! we were very disappointed!) we decided that was enough for the day and called it a night.

The next day we slept in and it was delightful! Once we finally got our selves out of bed we went over to the Salt Lake Temple, I haven't had the chance to do a session there yet and all I can say is it was amazing! I will definitely make sure to go again soon! After the temple we headed back to Rubio's for one last taste of the yummy fish tacos we would soon miss (I already do)! After lunch we head down to AF where we changed and then went to the movies and saw "Leatherheads" it's a really good movie I definitely recommend it! After the movies we we in search for a hat for Matt, he wanted a fedora (ya he's not your typical baseball cap kind of guy) so we went to the University Mall in Orem and looked everyone with no luck (oh we did run into my ex-boyfriend so that was kind of weird but no hats!) we ran over to the Provo Mall and just when we thought we would have no luck in finding Matt the perfect hat we found it! I have to admit though I was hesitate at first at the idea of Matt getting a fedora of all things it actually looks really good on him! After that we decided we needed a little dinner break from all our running around and went to Red Robin's where we actually went for our first date (how cute!). It really was a good end to our little "mini" vacation, it was just what we both needed! Hopefully soon we can go on another little "get-a-way" as I am sure it will be well needed!

B-day BBQ..aka yummy food night!

Last night Matt and I went to my mom's house for a very yummy b-day bbq! Chelsie's b-day was the 14th and Ryan's b-day is today so we decided to do a little b-day bbq to celebrate the two. We had steaks, potato salad, green salad, chips, rolls, and for dessert Chels made YUMMY fruit pizza (I admit I ate one or two too many bites! It was delicious!) After the food we hung out a little, did a little present opening, and then Matt and I had to take off because I had to get up bright and early today (oh joy)! It was a very nice and relaxing evening with the fam!

Happy Birthday little bro!

(my "little" bro Ry, love ya!)

Well as you can guess it's my brothers birthday today...Ryan turns the big 1-9 today! Rock on! I hope he as an amazing day! Since Matt and I moved into my Grandpa's place with Ryan it's been so nice catching up with him and geting closer...when Matt has to work or is busy with this and that me and Ryan hang out and goof around like there's no tomorrow! Ryan really gets my humor and I love it! Since we were little Ryan and I have been really close so it's really fun living with my little bro again...good times! Happy Birthday bud!
