This summer I signed up both kids swim lessons and they had a blast! I wasn't sure if I would be able to take them to swim lessons this year but when we decided to have me stay at home I knew I would be able to and I am so glad I did because they both LOVED it! I am so proud of my two little fish!

Welcome Sky Rosie Ruth DeGriselles!
At the end of June we welcomed a brand new member to our family, introducing Sky Rosie Ruth DeGriselles:
His name (which is quite a mouth full) actually has a pretty cute story behind it.We decided to get a puppy when we decided to move in with my mom, so after we got everything unpacked we began the search. The whole time we were looking Abby was SUPER excited! She decided pretty early on that when we got a puppy she wanted to name it Rosie. Well after looking and looking we found this adorable puppy, the whole thing was it was a boy. I told Abby and she was heart broken. We decided to compromise and name the puppy Sky Rosie Ruth DeGriselles since puppies really don't know the difference between having a boy middle name and a girl middle name. He's been a handful but we really love him!
Isn't he cute!

Grandma's Camp 2015!
Grandma's Camp this year was Dinosaur themed and the kids had a blast! I think Liam was in heaven the entire time. I love that my mom and her sisters put this on every year and we haven't missed on yet. It is definitely a tradition that they look forward to every year.

Starting a New Chapter...
It's been about 10 years since I started working full-time in customer service, 9 years at Synergy and 1 year at Monavie, and I can honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have learned a lot about myself through my work, and more importantly I have learned who I want to be. I have also been going to school part-time for the last two years and I should be finishing up my degree this October which is very exciting! While I have loved working it has been tough as well, especially since being a mom. It's not the easiest thing to leave your kids with babysitters every day. It's also tough taking time off when they are sick or finding a job that is flexible with you so you can take time off to go with them on field trips or special outings. For the last year I have worked at a company called Monavie up in South Jordan. I have really enjoyed working there and I have always felt very validated for my work. I not only would assist customers but I was a senior customer service representative so I would also help other agents and this proved to be my favorite part of the job. I left Synergy last year because I did not feel like I could grow and with Monavie I felt like they let me grow from the beginning, it was great!
In addition to enjoying work with Monavie, Matt recently got a job at UVU and we both decided it was time to start looking to buy a home. At first we wanted to see what we could afford, but as we started to see houses with a Realtor, we got the new house bug more and more. After looking and looking we found a cute home in Payson that we put an offer on. It needed some work but we thought we could do it, no problem. As the closing date got closer, we did one final walk through and we realized that the work that needed to be done was not only out of our price range, but out of our skill level. On top of that, the company that I worked for recently got bought by another company. While we were all assured that our jobs were going to be safe, it was definitely scary. We ultimately decided to wait on the house and maybe find something more move-in ready.
After my company was transitioned over to the new company I quickly realized that I would basically be starting over with my position. The good news was that so would everyone else but after working at Synergy for 9 years, I really did not want to start over. I wanted my career at Monavie to be my start over so this really worried me.
Matt and I started talking about what we should do, if I should look for a new job, if we should look for a new home, but finally the impression came over both of us that we should do neither. Instead we decided to move back in with my mom and I would be a stay-at-home mom and finish my degree. It was a crazy idea, we had just moved out of her house just over a year ago and now we were thinking about moving back but something about it just seemed right. We talked to my mom about it and she liked the idea. She thought it would be smart for me to focus on school and being a mom as well.
On June 2nd I worked my last day at Monavie which was very bitter-sweet. I was going to miss my coworkers very much, but I was also excited to be able to spend every day with my kids without worrying about PTO or taking a day off because my kids are sick or finding a babysitter. After packing up our townhome we moved back in with my mom, and now I am ready to start this new chapter in my life as a stay-at-home mom. I am beyond excited to watch my kids grow and know I will be there for them every step of the way. I mean just look at these faces...

My Preschool Graduate!
At the end of May my sweet girl graduated preschool! I couldn't be more proud of Abby for being such a smart and outgoing girl. Every day she makes me so proud to be her mom and I am so happy she learned so much from preschool this year. Love you Abby Ruth!
