Matt's B-day Get-A-Way!

Matt's b-day was on Monday (Oct. 2nd) so the following Friday (Oct. 6th) Matt and I took off for the weekend and went down to Moab to meet up with his folks (that we haven't seen since April at the open house). The drive down was a little scary on Friday, it rained non-stop and we hydroplaned several times but we finally arrived in Moab in one piece and met up with Matt's folks later that night for dinner and it was just so nice to see how happy Matt was with his parents, it was so good!

The next day we all went out to Arches National Park and took a ton of pictures! We just enjoyed the beautiful landscape and just being together. I'm not the closest to Matt's family as I wish I could be but this opportunity to be with them, talk, laugh, and just spend time together was so nice and very well-needed. Later that night we went to the Colorado River on a boat ride at night which was a ton of fun adn very romantic to be sitting there with Matt in the moon light cuddling close. I just felt such a strong love for him and I was just so content and happy to tell you the truth when I am with my baby I tend to always feel happy and content and loved.

On Sunday we ended our little trip by going to Dead Horse Point and once again we just enjoyed the view and nature and being there with my hubby and family. We headed back home that afternoon which was nice and then had our usual Sunday dinner at my Mom's. Just the perfect end to a perfect weekend! Happy Birthday Matt!

Matt's Birthday Bash!

My amazing hubby just celebrated the big 3-0 and we had a blast! Several days before his birthday we met up with my family and went to Chili's to celebrate the big day.

On his birthday (October 2nd) I surprised him at work with some balloons and later after work we went to Matt's favorite restaurant for dinner at the Olive Garden. After dinner we went back home and Matt opened presents. I got him books, dvd's, clothes and a picture from a photographer he really likes. We then enjoyed a relaxing day. It was so great spoiling my amazing hubby who I love so much!

Catching-Up!

A lot of fun things have happened this summer! In July we had the Olson Family reunion, the day before though I got really sick so we weren't able to stay up in the Canyon with the rest of the family but by the last day I was feeling better so I got to see everyone which was good. Matt is so good with my family, I can tell sometimes he may be bored when we all hang out but he is so supportive and just loves and cares for me so much he will do anything if he knows it will make me happy. He is my baby boy and I love him! The Sunday after the reunion my cousin Tyler Tribett came home form his mission in Tokyo and we wen to his homecoming which was a lot of fun.

Oh also Matt and I were called to become WeBeLoS Scout Leaders. It's been a bit of a struggle for us to start going in this calling, its very new, but we are doing good and the boys are great so the Lord is taking care of us.

In August my cousin Riley Bigler (my father's sister Cathy's daughter) was baptized by Ryan. After baptism Matt gave Abby the Gift of the Holy Ghost which was really neat! I love the reminder that I have a husband who has the power of the Priesthood. Also in August Matt and I took off a couple of days from work to celebrate our 6-Month anniversary on the 24th!! We also celebrated our 1-year anniversary of our first date (on August 10th) and our 1-year anniversary of our first kiss (on August 29th). It was so great spending time wth my baby before he started school, the time has really flown!

I love my baby so much, he is my rock, me makes me feel so safe! I know I was meant to meet Matt just year ago and fall in love with him and marry him in the temple. At the end of August Matt started taking classes at UVSC, he is taking 3 classes right ow and is doing well. Hopefully in a year he can be graduated!

Matt and I received an early Christmas present just recently. For the 26th-29th of December we are going to be going to California to spend Christmas with Matt's family and his parents paid for our airplane tickets, what good folks we have!

Life is good, it has its ups and downs but this year is a good one and I am blessed! May we always remember to thank the Lord for our blessings, that is my hope!

Kat's Wedding!

On August 19th my very good friend Kathy McClain was married for all time and eternity to Greg Hodgson in the Provo, Ut temple. Ashley, Nikelle, and myself were there at the temple outside as she came out and Kathy looked so beautiful! It was really neat because the night before Matt and I were able to go through the temple with Kathy for the first time to get her endowments. When Kathy came out of the temple after the sealing she looked like a princess! There was a reception later that night down in Santaquin and it was really nice. It was comfy and cozy and laid back, just like Kathy! We went to the reception with Ashley and her soon-to-be finance Jacob (he has the ring in his possession) and it was good times indeed! I am so excited for my bud, CONGRATULATIONS KATHY!

Our trip to the cabin!

June 30th - July 2nd I decided to take Matt down to my families cabin in the Boulder Mountains for a little Bergera family reunion and we had a blast! I have been so excited to take Matt down to the cabin ever since we met! We've had this cabin for many years now and I always love going down to it as a family. We ride four-wheelers and roast smores and it's just perfect!

We took the wheelers on Saturday and went for a ride in my favorite area we call "Slick-Rock". It was so much fun showing Matt this area that I love so much!

We enjoyed spending time with the Bergera side of the family just relaxing and having fun!

Such a wonderful trip!
