Our trip to the Zoo!

On Saturday, August 18th, we went to the Zoo with my brother Ryan and we had a blast! We had been wanting to take Abby all summer and decided to go before Matt started school again next week. Abby loved seeing all the animals and besides the heat it was a great time!

Abby has never really been a "cuddler". Since she was little she much rather be off doing her own thing. If you try to cuddle her she will let you for about five seconds and then start screaming. Well besides not really being a cuddler she also isn't much for needing her momma to be around her 24-7, she is one independent girl! Lately though she has been my little shadow and I am loving it! Yesterday I went to get my back adjusted and my chiropractors office has a little toy area she can play in. I figured she would just play while I was getting my back popped and since it only takes about 5 minutes she would be fine. Well as soon as I left her sight she started screaming and even though she could see me she kept balling until she came right up close to me and let me put my arm around her. It was a bitter-sweet moment for sure!

A day at Lagoon...

On Friday, August 3rd my work had it's annual Summer Party at Lagoon and we had a blast! We didn't go last year because Abby was so small so we didn't think it would be very fun and I am kind of glad because it made this year even better! Abby was so amazed by all the roller coasters and she couldn't take her eyes off of them, it was so much fun! The first thing we did was go to Pioneer Village and get some yummy ice cream, for a family like ours that loves ice cream so much we were in heaven! After ice cream we went on the train, took Abby on the Merry-Go-Round, and went to the Haunted House. I didn't think Abby would get so scared on the Haunted House since she doesn't really know what monsters are yet but I think the flashing lights and loud sounds scared her and by the end of the ride she had dug her head into my shoulder which was both cute (especially for a girl who is not known for her cuddling) and kind of sad too. Matt and I realized very quickly it probably wasn't our smartest idea. Overall we had a great time, we can't wait to go again next year!

Olson Reunion 2012!

My summer wouldn't be complete without our annual Olson Family Reunion! This year the reunion was on Saturday, August 6th up at Payson Lakes and we had a blast! We enjoyed the day just relaxing, playing a little in the water, and enjoying some good food. We had such a fun time! Abby loves the water so she was in heaven. What a fun time with family!!
