Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans...
I decided (after reading everyone else's blogs which seem to get updated way more often then my own) that it is time for a new post. There's not a whole lot new going on in our world but here are a couple of the highlights from last week and this upcoming week... My work moved...I work at Synergy World Wide located in Provo (well at least until this past week). We are building a brand spaken new building 
in P.G. but it wont be ready until October. Sadly enough the lease is up on the place we are at in Provo so we are kind of stranded for a home for a couple of months. Luckily enough our sister company (Nature's Sunshine located in Spanish Fork) is giving us a place to stay until the new (and what sounds amazing) building is ready. Unfortunately our temporary home is in Spanish Fork (about 20 minutes south) so that sorta bites but at the same time change can be good. It's day 4 of our transition and it's not too bad at all. I thought I would have to get up a lot earlier to drive the extra distance but I actually don't, since both my apartment and work are off the freeway I can make it too work in really good time. I am looking forward to the new building (which will only be about 10 minutes from our apartment thanks to the freeway) but until then I am just glad to have a job even if it means driving down to the boonies! (j/k)
Matt only has three more work days (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night) until he is off of graveyard! YEA!!! I honestly couldn't be more excited. There have been some pros to Matt working graveyard (he has a set schedule so we always know the days he has off and he always has Sunday off) but I think the pros of working days will far outweigh them. Just having Matt home at nights, EVERY night, will be WONDERFUL! YEA for working days!! My little brother Austin is celebrating his 16th
birthday on Thursday and to help him celebrate my family is taking him out to dinner to our favorite restaurant...Los Hermanos! YUMMY!! I can't wait...hehe. I should have some pics from that night posted later this week but I can't wait! They have the best chips and salsa and guacamole, my tummy is already grumbling! And last but not least my family is having our annual Olson Family Reunion this weekend up in Payson Canyon and it should be a hoot! We decided to be party poopers and not actually camp with the rest of the family but stay in our warm, cozy beds at night and head up each day (shower clean...hehe) to spend the day with the family. I have to admit I love the idea that we don't have to spend the night in a tent and uncomfortable sleeping bags. I know a lot of people love camping but Matt and my idea of camping is something like a nice cabin in the woods so you can see our excitement at having our reunion close to home this year. I will also have some pics from the weekend to post later this week, yea!

Vegas Weekend...
Ryan and I just got home from a quick trip to Vegas and we had a blast! We left after work on Friday and got down there about 9pm. We decided to stay at Motel 6 because it was cheap and close enough to the strip we could just walk around which was nice. Friday night we decided to get some rest (I remember how much I hate driving hours and hours at a time now).
Saturday morning we decided to hit the strip...
The first thing we went to was a museum at the Tropicana, it was a museum of artifacts from the Titanic and it was really neat! When we first arrived at the museum they gave us a "boarding pass" with the name of someone who was on the Titanic and a little information on them. The passenger I had was named Annie Clement Funk. She was a second class passenger who was traveling alone. She was a missionary and a teacher in India who was on her way back to America to take care of her sick mother. At the end of the tour you could see if your passenger had survived. Ryan had a man from 3rd class, who was traveling with his family. Throughout the tour they had artifacts they got from the wreckage sight on the bottom of the ocean floor. They had a TON of stuff, it was so neat seeing these items that survived the sinking. They also had the tour set up really cool because during some parts it was like you were in the ship. We walked down one of the hallways and saw room where 3rd and 1st class passengers stayed. We also saw the grand stair case (obviously reconstructed but still very neat) it was just like in the movie Titanic. During one part it was like we were on the deck at night and they had the walls painted black with stars and a fan blowing so it felt like wind. You could of sworn you were out in the Atlantic Ocean on the Titanic as a passenger almost 100 years ago. The last stage of the tour they had a huge iceberg you could touch and the room was cold and chilly and had a very sad and eerie feeling to it. You could sense the misery and coldness of the events that night. At the very end you could see who survived and who didn't. My passenger did not survive, Ryan's did. It was a once in a lifetime experience, I'm very glad we went!

Next we went to the MGM Grand, they had lions in this glass cage there which was pretty neat. We walked through the casino (no we didn't gamble lol) and stopped by this neat Rainforest Cafe. They had a ton of robotic jungle animals which were really fun.
We headed over to New York New York next (since it was just right across the street). We pretty much just walked through New York New York but it was really neat how nice they made it and how much they kept to the New York City theme. We might not have been able to go to New York City (where Ryan really wants to go) but we came pretty dang close (lol).
We then went to M&M's World where we went to a 3-D Show (anything to stay out of the 110 degree heat!). It was really neat, they had a gift store (4 levels) and a ton of different M&M's in every color you could think of!
We kept walking north up the strip and had lunch at the Harley Davidson Cafe, delicious! For anyone that knows me I love Harley's so it was a real treat being completely surrounded by them as we dined.
We then went to the Hotel Paris where we went up the Eiffel Tower and gazed over all of Las Vegas. It was nice and windy at the top which also cooled us off. There was also a ton of attention to detail there so that made it really neat too.
Next we went to the Bellagio where we watched the amazing water fountain show. We were so tired and it was so hot that we decided to head back to the hotel where we took a nap. Later that night we got some food and got some pie (yummy!) and called it a night.
Sunday we took off about 10:30 and made it home in about 5 hours (not too bad). It was blast! Overall we had an amazing time!

Good times!
So yesterday Matt and I saw Wall-e and it was so stinkin cute! Not only did it have the most advance computer graphics I have ever seen (I can't even imagine how much time and dedication went into making this movie) it also had a very good story that prompts us to take a deeper look at the environment around us and to take care of this planet before it's too late. In the movie the Earth gets so full of garbage that we run out of room to live so we have to live in out in space. It's a little sad to think what if this could really happen? It definitely got me thinking more about what I can do to protect our planet. Also the character Wall-e was so adorable. One of the cutest characters I have seen in awhile. Just all around it was a wonderful movie. I recommend EVERYONE sees it, you wont be disappointed!

A Reason to Celebrate...
My hubby Matt has been working as an Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart for over 6 months now and for about 4 of those months he has been working the graveyard shift. It was definitely not by choice but it's something every assistant has to do eventually so we are both happy he got it over with sooner rather then later. Well since he started the graveyard shift he was told he could go back to days in either 2, 4, or 6 months (pretty dumb huh?!). Well today he told me his last day working overnights will be August 1st...YEA!! It's been a long time since I have been able to sleep next to Matt and I am so glad it's only a little longer now. Besides not having him next to me at night while sleeping, when I am awake he is fast asleep which has been really hard. It will be so good all around to have him home at nights, sleeping regular hours, and having a semi normal routine. He even gets 4-day weekends off every couple of weeks what could be better!? It's been so long since we have had a weekend off together (the last one was when we went to Cali) and I am looking forward to taking him down to my families cabin sometime this summer. It seems like for all our family outings this year Matt has had to work and hopefully with going back to days he will have more time off. Also the nice thing will be he will have the time off for us to go to my Olson family reunion in August and I am pretty pysched about that!
