Yea for Family & Food!

Yesterday Matt and I enjoyed our second Thanksgiving of the season at my Mom's house. We enjoyed mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, yams, green beans and bacon (that was Matt and my idea), corn, rolls, and yummy pumpkin pie and peach pie a la mode! After dinner we looked at some Christmas photos from through out the years and it definitely got us in the Christmas mood (only a month away)!

(Me and Matt...poor guy had to work graveyards this week so he is very tired in these pictures)

One Thanksgiving down, one more to go!

On Saturday Matt and I had the opportunity to have Thanksgiving at my Dad's house in Santaquin. Yeah it was a bit early but food is food right?! Matt was originally suppose to work but was able to convince his boss to let him come in a little bit later so he was able to come (also why he is wearing a tie). All in all we had a blast! My aunt and uncle's from my Dad's side and my cousins came out and enjoyed in the celebration. Delicious food, yummy desserts, and an amazing family, what else can you ask for?

(Me and the hubby...I think he was the best dressed one there!)

(Chelsie and Wes with their cute puppy Resley, who was definitely the most popular one there!)

(My bros...Austin and Ryan)

(My Dad and his wife Annette)

(My cousin Jordan and brother Austin, crazy kids!)

(Me and Ryan...can you imagine me giving him a piggy back ride?)

(My cute cousin Riley playing with Resley)

(My uncle Larry with my cousin Scotty and Resley...once again the most popular one there!)

(Ryan and my beautiful aunt Cathy)

(It's eating time!)

Tonight Matt and I attend our second Thanksgiving for the season at my Mom's house. More pictures to come!

I've been tagged...yet again!

My friend Erin tagged me so you know I had to play along! Basically what I am suppose to do is post the 4th photo from my 4th folder and here it is...

This photo is from our very first trip to Moab, March of 2006. Every year my family has a semi-annual reunion in the spring and since my aunt Emily leaves in Moab we always head down there to have a little fun in the sun! It was exciting to bring Matt along for the first time and we had a blast! It was a little cold this year (it even snowed, what's up with that!) so we had our hoodies on and I even wore my beanie. Overall it was a wonderful vacation, I can't wait to go back!

I tag EVERYONE to do this...it's simple, it's easy, and brings back fun memories!!

I gave blood!

As my previous post mentioned I gave blood last night and it was pretty dang cool! The most annoying thing was the waiting but really it wasn't all that bad, Matt was there to keep me entertained and the time just flew by! I first had to do the little interview thingie to make sure my heart rate was normal, blood pressure good, and all that fun stuff! After passing with flying colors and getting my finger poked so they could test my blood (can I say ouch!) I was off to finally give blood. The lady that got me all ready and stuck the needle in my arm was really nice. I've been told by a certain family member that I have elephant veins (which I think is actually a very nice compliment) because it didn't take more then one simple stick of the needle and I was just a pumping the blood away! I was done in 4 minutes flat! (That's got to be a record right? Anyone?) I was a little light headed once I stood up so Matt insisted that I eat some shortbread cookies (how could I say no?) and drink some white peach juice. Overall it was a really good experience. I would definitly encourage everyone who can donate to do it!

Oh and I got one of those standard bright bandages (mine was green) so I looked pretty legit!

A first for me!

So I am quite surprised by how up-to-date I've been keeping this lately. Not that I go long times without updating but I mean three posts in two days...that's pretty intense! But ya I just wanted to put a quick note on here...I am donating blood at my very first blood drive tonight! Yup after several attempts by my aunt Karen (who works for Red Cross so is always looking for some good blood) I am going to get up the nerve and go donate! I think it's pretty cool that I can give something of myself that others may need someday. I am all for donating blood, donating hair (if I ever grew mine long enough, I did donate to "Locks for Love" back in highschool though!), I am an organ donor, whatever I don't need is yours! (Ok this got really creepy of all of sudden) I am pretty excited though, it will be nice to feel like I did something of service!
